By the opinion of  the Czech foreign minister, Lubomír Zaorálek, all possible action must be taken to prevent the possible breakup of Ukraine. He told that if Ukraine split into a pro-Western part and a part oriented towards Russia it would create a dividing line between individual spheres of influence and that the only legitimate force in the country was its parliament.

By the opinion of Czech president, Miloš Zeman, the rapid calming of the situation in Ukraine has key importance. He issued a statement on Sunday, according to which he regards the preservation of the Ukraine territorial territory as paramount.
